Anaphora is when the first part of a sentence is repeated later on in the same sentence multiple times. Anaphora is used to mark certain words or phrases. The effect of this is to make the reader engage in the particular subject being talked about.
Two examples of anaphora are:
- Buying diapers for the baby, feeding the baby, playing with the baby: This is what your life is when you have a baby
- Who is to blame, who is to look to, who is to turn to, in a tough situation like this
My own example of this is, My bag has books in it, My bag has pens in it, My bag has a drink bottle in it, My bag has a calculator in it.
