What is 3D printing?
3D printing is the process of melting plastic and creating an object by using lots of layers. By using digital files online or creating your own, you can turn anything into a print. The software "slices" your work into thin pieces, which creates the layers that the 3d printer prints.
What is laser cutting?
a laser cutter is a machine that cuts and engraves material using a laser. To cut out a shape the laser needs to move slower so that the laser burns through the whole piece of material. To engrave a shape, the laser needs to move faster so it doesn't have enough time to cut all the way through the material.
