Persuasive writing

What did I learn?
I learnt how to write better persuasive text using more expressive words and without making the text seem boring. 

Why did we do it as a class? 
I think we did this as a class to help see everyone's strengths in writing and get better ideas from each person in the class. Throughout the class, there were lots of different ideas of different words to use and better ideas. 

What will I do better next time?
Next time I will give my ideas for the teacher to use in the writing and think about the topic more so I have more understanding.

What questions do I still have?
 Why is persuasive writing so important and why do we have to use 'sexy' paragraphs to format our writing.

Wind racer planning - science

My team members -Georgia and I

The aim of this is to make a wind racer to beat our classmates 

Equipment - 
Trolley, cardboard, tape, paper, string, scissors 
Our idea is to use paper to make a triangle going against the wind to catch as much wind as possible. The more wind we catch the faster the wind racer will go and the further it'll move. We will need to make a thin tube of paper to make a stem up the top of the trolley to tape the paper wings to it.

Method:
1. screw the pole from the clamp stand into the chassis
2. tape the strips of cardboard to the outer part of the paper sail for strength
3. create a name and design for your wind racer and draw it onto the sail
 4. attach the sail to the poll and tape it well. 
5. Race
